Experience the amazing clarity and
unprecedented realism of images captured with the High Definition
Handycam HDRHC7.Created to be ultra-light and compact, it puts
professional-quality imaging possibilities into your hands. Combining
the power of Sony's ClearVid CMOS Sensor and Enhanced Imaging Processor
with our well-known expertise in High Definition technology, the HDRHC7
will transform the way you capture and enjoy your home videos.
When switched to still camera mode, the HC7 can capture 6.1 Megapixel
still images. (Currently the highest Megapixel rating in the industry!)
This is realized by the Enhanced Imaging Processor, which processes the
huge amounts of pixel data retrieved from the improved ClearVid CMOS
Sensor at high speed. The Dual Recording function makes it possible to
record high-precision still images equivalent to 4.6 Megapixel even
while shooting video.
Super SteadyShot (Optical) lets you shoot stable images with reduced
blur even during telescopic shooting, when images tend to blur due to
camera shake. The DCRHC7 employs Optical Active Lens, which uses a
sensor to detect camera shake and a lens that is controlled to
compensate for any vibration. This optical method efficiently reduces
camera-shake blur, allows stable shooting, and maintains superior image
quality without destroying any data obtained through the lens.
Camera-shake blur is also reduced when shooting still images as well.
Users can assign their favorite camera settings to the Manual button and
adjust them with the Camera Control Dial for smooth manual operation and
shooting according to preference. The shutter speed is also adjustable.
When shooting still images, the shutter speed can be fixed to clearly
freeze the moving object or intentionally blur it. With a level meter,
the microphone sound level can also be adjusted to suit user preference.
These and other manual functions heighten the enjoyment of shooting with
the HC7.
Using the advanced 1080 HDV standard as the recording format, the HDRHC7
records high-precision HD video on conventional MiniDV cassette tape.
This media offers the same amount of recording time for the HDV standard
as for the DV standard.
The HDRHC7 is compatible with the x.v.Colour or xvYCC colour space,
which is an international standard for colour space in video endorsed by
the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). This standard can
express a wider colour range (1.8 times the current colour data range)
than the currently used broadcast standard. When played back on an
x.v.Colour-compliant TV, your recordings will come to life with rich
natural colour like never before! |
