Furthermore, when using an optional wireless microphone ECM-HW1, users can record distant sound wirelessly. This microphone picks sounds up accurately, even in busy or distant locations.

In addition to the advantage of a DVD Handycam® camcorder, the DCRDVD708, features a high-magnification 25x optical zoom lens. Now users can shoot faraway subjects such as buildings and bridges that are difficult to capture with conventional models.

The DCRDVD708 supports various media such as 8cm DVD-R/-RW/+RW and now DVD+R DL. By using Double Layer media, extended shooting (110 min. in LP mode) is possible! During shooting, this model automatically finds empty space on the disc for saving footage, which prevents overwriting valuable footage. During playback a Visual Index function shows a list of contents, so users can easily find the scene they want to view.
