With the ClearVid CMOS Sensor and Enhanced Imaging Processor, the DCRSR200 can capture high quality 4.0 Megapixel (2304x1728) still images. The Dual Recording function allows users to record high quality still images (2.3 Mega pixels) during video shooting.

The DCRSR200 features a Smooth Slow Recording function for slow-motion recording of objects moving too fast for the human eye to perceive. This function now includes the ability to record sound while writing the slow motion movie file on media.

The DCRSR200 features a 40GB HDD that offers 28 hours of recording time in LP mode, 14 hours and 30 minutes in SP mode, and 9 hours and 30 minutes in HQ mode. With the optional NP-FH100 Actiforce battery, the DCRSR200 offers massive stamina for up to 7 hours of shooting time!

Bring you impressive video capture to life with the addition of a Dolby Digital 5.1 channel sound track! When recorded images are viewed with a 5.1-channel Dolby Digital surround sound-compatible device, a lively audio experience is added to the visual pleasure of high-resolution images. And if the optional wireless microphone (ECM-HW1) is used, an even higher level of fidelity can be recorded when capturing subject sound — whether at a distance or in noisy settings.
